Romanization of Central Asian Languages
The Committee on Cataloging has adopted the ALA/ALCTS/CCS/CCAAM project to attempt to rationalize the romanization of the Central Asian languages that have been written in various scripts throughout the history of the region. The table below lists the languages and the various romanizations that libraries have applied for the various scripts used. When sufficient comment has been received, these tables will be forwarded to the CCAAM for adoption.
