Reference & Research Committee
The Reference and Research Committee provides a platform for the MELA membership to offer relevant resources and guidelines for collection development, acquisitions, and reference and instruction for Middle East studies librarians. This committee proposes to establish a reference webpage in the form of a wiki. It welcomes contributions, input and assistance from MELA members and others with expertise or knowledge in particular subject areas or languages.
Membership on the committee is open to any member of MELA. Every three years the committee chairmanship rotates, with the chair chosen from among the committee membership. The editor of MELA Notes serves as a permanent member, ex-officio.
